Hi
users with "owner" and "system admin" roles cant see the recordings tab as like System Owner. According to this site https://www.3cx.com/docs/manual/access-roles/ should it works, but it doesnt.
Every user with the "owner" and "system admin" roles has checked option "Show call recordings".

Can anyone help? :(

Hi @maciej.goluchowski@invict

If the option "Show call recordings" is enabled in the options tab of the extensions, even with the role "User" the agent should be able to see the recordings tab. Could you please double-check that the "Show call recordings" is indeed enabled?

I restored 3cx server to v18 :/
Yes all managers had the option "Show call recordings" checked, but there was two diffrent "recordings" tabs. System owner had the recordings tab with a filtering tools etc. Non System Owner has a besic "recordings" tab.

This is actually unusable for our clients. We have no way to allow users to view the recording tab that allow for filtering by dates and such without giving them system owner access. I really hope there is a fix in progress...

Recordings in the user section does not have filtering options, however you have a search bar, and you can search for the recording you need.

That does not work for our users, who may have to look back to recordings from a specific date and time period. Are there any plans to bring the filtering options from the admin menu to the user version of the recording page?

We don't have this information for now, and V20 all the time will now bring you new features. Stay tuned

This is still no good. I am now having to make all of my staff System Owners so they can access Call Recordings (in the Admin section).

This is frankly, nonsense, and needs to be fixed. System Administrators should have access to this section.

You may want to take a look at our 3CX Recording Manager tool. Not only can we provide easy user-specific access to recordings based on 3CX manager/user rights, but we are also adding significant new AI features for analyzing recordings.

With our tool, you don't need to worry about console access at all since we provide a separate easy-to-use web interface. You log into Recording Manager using your 3CX extension number and web password and Recording Manager knows what recordings you have permission to see/play/download/email/analyze.

The new version scheduled for release as early as this Friday (but may push to next week) will allow you to automatically score the agent's handling of the call based on criterial you specify, identify action items, appointments, key discussion points, summary, sentiment, and pretty much anything you want to know about the call.

We give you the ability to define the questions you want to ask and AI does the work automatically. Further, you can chose to analyze every recording, or only selected users, or let you manually choose the specific recording to analyze.

Recording Manager has always been one of our most popular tools, but now it is a must-have tool for people that work regularly with call recordings.

Thanks for the offer Matthew, I appreciate the effort you have gone to making your tools and hopefully a good living filling in the holes in functionality that exist in 3CX.

It seems bizarre that the whole Recordings section is missing from the Admin section in v20 for a System Administrator, and there is no option to enable this that I can see.

Will 3CX be fixing this? I am a small reseller and many of my clients require multiple members of staff to listen back to call recordings (for compliance issues). Am I really meant to make each of these staff a System Owner so they can access call recordings across the entire system?

Let's get some feedback from others.
