We use the Custom SMTP with GMail SMTP. When I do a test, it sends an email. When I try to send the Reset/Welcome Email, nothing is sent.

I get this:
The following error occurred when trying to send an email with subject ‘Your 3CX account details’ to ‘user@domain’ : The SMTP server has unexpectedly disconnected: 4.7.0 Too many login attempts, please try again later. For more information, 4.7.0 go to 4.7.0 https://support.google.com/mail/answer/7126229 af79cd13be357-7a4ff105968sm196599685a.115 - gsmtp

"Too many login attempts".

Bad credentials pal.

Then why does it send test email? And the 100 emails before it?

Basically did two pages of accounts. This kicks me out of the interface, then I sent the test email which I received right after this.

Not to mention it is the same account we've used for 6 years or so and use for multiple services. No issues previously.

Test with a different custom SMTP account.. Your email is probably blacklisting you for some reason.

No issues previously

Hello,
Several reasons could explain this.
Google has recently changed their policies.

https://workspaceupdates.googleblog...google-sync-and-less-secure-apps-support.html

Are you using a GMAIL free account (personal) or a Google Workspace (paid) account?

Do you have two-factor authentication enabled on this Google account?

Are you using an « third party app password » ?

You mentioned that your tests are working, are they being sent from the same email that is sending them? Is the test being sent to another GMAIL account?

Is this your own domain or a google-provided address (gmail.com)?

What have you entered as the value in Mail Server?

Are "Reply to Address" and "Email Account to send notification emails" set to the gmail address that is sending them?

Workspace Education

No 2FA

Not third party app password

We have a generic SMTP account that we use to send all emails, so yes, the test emails are sent with the same account. As far as too, I was in the first part that failed, then it sent the test to me.

It's our domain.

smtp.gmail.com

Yes, the "Reply to address" and "Email account to send notification emails" are set to the same address, and then I entered mine in the test field.

Alright, log into this GMAIL account directly via gmail.com and check the login history.
I suspect that GMAIL has blocked the login due to multiple connections from different IP addresses.

See this page to authorize a blocked connection :

But if you want peace of mind, here’s my recommendation:
I used to use Google for sending my apps emails as well, but I switched to SMTP2GO. It’s a service designed for that! There are several similar ones (Sendgrid, Mailchimp, Mailersend, Mailjet, etc.). Moreover, they offer free plans depending on the email volume.

Since then, I’ve never faced any challenges.
