I tried many times restoring a backup on a 3CX-hosted v20 system, but that never worked so far: after launching the restore, there's a long wait 'til an error message "504 - Ok" pops up (see attached screenshot)! :(

Although this message indicates a timeout, the FTP backup-location is correctly defined and used w/o any problems for periodic backups. Also, I can download such backups w/o any issue using some FTP-client such as FileZilla.

I would also like to know (and test!) whether restoring to an FQDN different from the original backup's FQDN would be possible for a 3CX-hosted V20 system (I must emphasize, however, that in above case, the restore was tried to the original instance).

Hello Dominque

Please note that it is not possible to restore a backup that contains a different FQDN than the one that is currently used by the phone system. With regards to the 504 error i have sent you a PM so we can get further details.

Ok, but what if we setup a test system with a temporary FQDN and want to restore the same configuration onto a new system? That used to work w/ V18 (but maybe not w/ 3CX-hosted instances?)
