Great addition with S3 remote storage. For full release this should allow more S3 compatible storage providers, not just Amazon. Wasabi should be an easy and popular add.

primarily about Remote Storage, not Backup
I understand...I mentally jumped ahead a few steps to backing up those recordings. The server could offload to a different local VM, or if stored in "the cloud" there are various backup tools for that.

SBC Management Returns
Would LOVE to see the return of SBC Statistics Screen - We have many remote Users and that was always the first screen we would use to troubleshoot remote connections. Uptime, Latency, Etc. were all very valuable to diagnose SBC Issues.
What we had was perfect, we would love to see that screen return as well.

Totally would like Wasabi storage buckets.

On the troubleshooting of remote users, the call quality monitoring should cover many cases of that.

Hello, thank you for your explanation and that a good approach to restrict to queue agents only.

But it's not working for me, here is the step I did :

- Calling a queue with one agent
- Call ends after 20sec of wait / call abandonned
- The one agent calling back and i let the call last ~30sec
- Force the push of the CDR into database
- Check my grafana

The manual callback doesn't show, I did the same step but with callback enable on queue and it works.

I'm using posgresql database, maybe I did something wrong.

Happy to hear it, thank you for your trust and i will keep trying to give ideas. :p
Question
When you make the call (when you process the missed call), is the call egressing from the same trunk it came in?
Can you send your call logs.. Check from which trunk the call came in and see if it went out from the same one. We think that this could be the issue you are experiencing.

I think I have some discrepancies too.

If I look at call ending 718

Hello,

Yeah, i'm playing with our sandbox 3CX with multiple trunks and i wasn't recalling with the same trunk as you expect.

Try it with the same trunk and worked instantly :)

Thank you so much and have a nice summer break.

Anyone have this update break 3cx were it does not come back online after running the update?

I had to restore from backup as it broke my instance.

I was hoping for the below but looks like that's not in this release
  • On-Demand Call Transcription: Manually trigger transcriptions for any call recording, perfect for re-processing failed jobs or older calls.

And perhaps it would be a good time to point out that this is primarily about Remote Storage, not Backup. The intention is (and self hosted can benefit from this too) for the 3CX instance/machine to not be used for long term storage and retrieval of anything - in the end it's not a file or database server. Moving those tasks to external systems lets the PBX do its primary function with far greater efficiency.

Customers and Partners can leverage this new operational concept to optimize how their resources are put to best use.
For 3CX Hosted a warn message is a good choice, for on premise and partner hosted not.

There are so much concepts to backup things and a "remote storage" is just the 4th or 5th data duplicate.
Its ok when hinting this to use remote storage, but we definitely need an option to check "i know, but it dont want this remote storage version". We are all grown up technicians that can handle data and backups in a safe manner

Hi @Benedikt Machens ,

Thank you for the feedback, we are taking all of it into account at this Alfa stage.

For the benefit of people not yet trialling this, the banner is only shown to System Owner / System Admin users - all regular user accounts are left in peace :)

Best,
KS.

For sure :)
But you need feedback for beta to make things more better ;)

Another thing for beta

Will "send to admins" ungrayed later? This configuration is really welcome, because sometimes we dont want every admin to get mails when we have a central post box for this

+1
It's a need !

Agreed... However, The Stat screen showed us what is happening right now while there is an issue or question. Rather than start a session and hope I can capture the same information we had at a glance.

With remote storage now being a requirement, will the ability to set retention policies on items such as recordings on the remote storage become possible? Retention in remote storage can be a GDPR issue which is why local storage with its auto-pruning is used on multiple systems still.

Will the added support for the Yealink T7 and 8 series also include router phone support?
if yes, what models?

I would also like to know this, plus if we have an ETA for when this update will go stable. I know ETA's are not normally provided, but we have suppliers who tell us the T4 and T5 is EOL, and so we are ordering the T7 and T8, but we can't yet use them until this update goes stable.

According to this page of Yealink, T5XW isn't affected by the EOL https://www.yealink.com/en/product-list/eol-products

And for the ETA of stable, should be this month as the Release Candidate is already out.
