I have ensured notifications are enabled for our domain, removed and readded the domain from the notifications approval list.

Browser console shows:

main.03ad4fd05ba97a89.js:1 push subscribe AbortError: Registration failed - push service error

Any ideas?

I had the same problem. The user needs to register the extension to his phone in order to show up as registered.

Rotate the QR code if it fails. If you are using a VPN to access with HTTPS, make sure the phone of the user has that IP in his phone or it won't connect

Reset the permissions (put it back to Ask) and then redo the Allow thing with the bell icon.

We had this issue after upgrading to version 20 even after enabling notifications, we solved it by scanning QR code of the logged user through webclient using the mobile App, After that...users became registered

The app has nothing todo with the webclient. You didnt fixed it this way, your extension is only only/registred on the phone.
