V20 & Users Passwords/Emails

Hello all,

We have deployed a lab environment before moving from V18 to V20 and first thing is we noticed that i cannot set a user's password like V18, is there a workaround ?
because our users is local users with no emails and we were setting the passwords for them and now that option is gone !!
second thing is that we put an email address to the newly created user and made a password reset, but no email received.
we then tested the 3CS SMTP Server email and it came with an error "535: 5.7.0 License Key cannot user 3CX SMTP"

so we are stuck now, cant set a user password and cant reset it via email, what should we do?

Did you try to use the same license for your lab?

In 20 you can use “plus addressing” if your email supports it, or aliases, and send the email that way.

You are no longer able to seed the user passwords. This is by design and will not change. The user will be required to set their password the first time they login.
