Version 3 and Virtual box

I'm trying to install Version 3.0.0 on inside of VM on Virtual box. (Testing purposes) and when the installer gets to the Mysql root password and superadmin password, the screen is updating to reflect my keystrokes. It only seems to update every 3rd or 4th keystroke. This is causing me grief trying to set the passwords it doesn't seem to receive my input.

Anyone else come across this issue?

I was able to force the install through using text mode.

I installed 3.0 RC1 under VirtualBox without any problem, using graphic mode.

I saw the same problem on KVM VNC console. Was a royal pain doing the initial setup until I got to the point where I could SSH in.

Probably some tty console setting that needs to be tweaked.

I am having the same problem with Version 3 rc1. It is a pain to setup these passwords. After several keystrokes are not registered they suddenly show up when I press the same key another time. The only way to set up these passwords is to press each key repeatedly until the keystrokes show up and then delete the unneeded ones with backspace. Backspace seems to work properly. I tried with both graphical and text based installation - same problem.
