Version 4 Crystal Ball :)

So who wants to guess what's in version 4?

We know fax is in there. What else?

My guesses:
-More choices for music on hold
-Ability to transfer to voicemail directly (from another extension)

Disclaimer:
Just having fun. I have no idea what is included.

a web version of call assistant.

and maybe they will throw in the kitchen sink?!

Version 4

:-) We are so close now we can give some more hints :-):

1. 3CX Windows VOIP client - allowing calls to be made from it directly, i.e no separate sip phone required.
2. T38 Fax
3. 3CX phone system to 3CX Phone System bridging for easily setting up free calls to other phone systems (using low bandwidth codec, eg GSM)
4. We are working on G729 for release version (not beta)
5. SIP trunking support for VOIP providers such as Broadvox
6. Improved support for patton gateways
7. Multiple network interface support
8. SIP forking (i.e allowing registrations from multiple devices)
9. Ability to configure forwarding, no answer, busy options from VOIP client so that you don't need to contact admin for any changes
10. VOIP client can tunnel over a single port, making firewall configuration much easier/almost seamless for remote extensions (you can use port 80 for example)
11. No need to specify whether extension is internal or external, this is automatically detected allowing easy roaming
12. Ability to launch calls from Outlook or any TAPI application
13. Ability to encrypt calls via inbuilt VPN
14. Web based API to allow launching of calls programatically.

Undoubtedly i have forgotten some points but the above should give you an idea. Its a major step forward. Some of these features will be in the paid version.

From the sales dept:The price of the paid version will increase somewhat, so purchase 3.1 now with upgrade insurance and get the upgrade free :-)

Wooo. Great to hear the killer features.

What a thread killer! :)

Those sound like some great additions. Since you are recommending buying now to get the better pricing, any idea when the release date will announced? I could probably close a couple sales quicker now with price incentives.

And, to follow Rob's comments, has the V4 pricing been decided yet? Can you post it here?

thanks!

I'm skeptical to buy now because I only need the small business version, but I want all the features you talked about, and want to make sure I don't have to buy the Enterprise version!

Can you give us any difference in the versions? The paid should be all the same except for amount of extensions and simultaneous calls.

I just locked in 1 client as Small Business w/ Upgrade. Not big enough for enterprise level yet. Working on another one tomorrow. And a test with the free version on Friday. Hope all goes well!
