Hi Constantinos,
Just read your post about the new Android version.
I've got 16.3.0 Beta (updated April 26) installed on my mobile phone.
When I go to the app store there is no UPDATE option. The blog said the new version is available now.
The changelog makes no mention of the version I have. It would be nice if there were some consistency in version naming and the changelog.
So my question is - is the new version really 'out now' or just almost out now?

Please give it some time, as on my phone also the store delayed a bit to show up the update.

Is it possible to explain better this? What kind of web services are we talking about? I thought that the app was always using a tunnel to initiate/receive calls....isn't it? I don't get the point if there is something new or not and if yes i would like to understand better how it works behind the scene.

Can we have an API for that webservice to make calls? That could be really useful.

I see now that I do have the new version. I may have had it when I wrote before.
Earlier I accessed the android settings menu/apps/3CX and the version showed 16.3.0 - which is what is still shows.
Just now I discovered that in the 3CX app I can access 3CX App/About and there it shows 16.3.0.81 which is what I understand the new version is.

Web Service (MyPhone) and tunnel are responsible for providing the full experience of presence/incoming/outgoing calls.

* Web Service is bound to push notifications, presence, contacts, etc.

* Tunnel responsibility mainly is on incoming accept/outgoing calls.

The experience of the user in terms of incoming/outgoing calls will not be the same in case the MyPhone is not up and working.

The summary of this feature is that those two services will not be bound together. This, as a result, will not delay the experience of the user in case of incoming/outgoing calls due to the fact that MyPhone service might experience some delays. Both (MyPhone and Tunnel) will be working in parallel and will not affect the execution of a call, for example in case of emergency, due to the fact that connectivity with MyPhone experiencing delays.

ok, so when you speak about Myphone you mean the service which is running on the phone side and not from the Server/pbx side. Now i think it is clear. Speaking about the new app the experience is very smoothly and the app finally is really fast. For example in the old App we had 2 seconds of no audio in the beginning of the call and now this problem is gone.
