We updated to V18 yesterday and now we can not start a quick videoconf call with two or more people. It works no fine with a single person, but if you select two or more people the videoconf button is disabled.
It is not available anymore in the 'legacy' Windows Client, but if you switch to using the WebClient or Desktop App in V18, you shall have this option again:
Well I know this, but the way to create an instant webmeeting with random internal participants is much harder with the new Desktop or Web App. With the Windows Client you just press CTRL, select the participants and click on the webconference button. With the new clients grouping of random participants is much more timeconsuming.
The 'legacy' Windows Client is end of development, so no new code is going to be written for it.
The way forward is the Desktop App and that is where active development is going to be put into.
You can of course continue using the 'legacy' Windows Client normally, as it is now as at the time of writing we do not plan to make any changes Server-side that will break it's functionality.
Keep in mind though that we cannot guarantee that we will keep it around for ever, so it is best at some point to start migrating your users over to the Desktop App.
Due to the popularity however of the old client, I would think that if a future upgrade is going to severely break any functionality, that it will be mentioned in the blog post that accompanies the update.
