Video Phone / Access Control with Fanvil Devices Question

Have finally gotten to install point for Access control (door lock).
Hardware:
2 each: Video Phone - Connected to electronic lock (Fanvil i31S)
15 each: Desktop Phones - Fanvil X6

Case use/Setup:
Have setup a Ring Group of all desktop phones. Guest presses "call" button on Video Phones, it "Rings All" desktop phones.
Whomever answers the call the Video feed from Video Phone shows on the Desktop phone.

I would like to be able to press a BLF button in order to open the door(s). All the documentation I find says to setup the BLF as a "custom speed dial".

Problem/Issue:
When I press the BLF button, call 'transfers' to that extension (the video phone), and errors out. I CAN end the call, then press the custom speed dial button, which then calls the video phone and unlocks door, but it is not as "clean' as it should be. Also, in doing it this way, you have to remember to hang up the call, or the extension stays connected.

I have tried setting up the buttons as speed dial, and also as straight DTMF with no success. I am using extension number, pause, * and unlock code (ie, 30200,*123456788), I tried the DTMF just sending unlock code or *unlock code to no avail (while I have the extension connected). I also tried putting in an additional comma and DTMF "D" code to hang up to no avail.

Any suggestions?

Simply create a custom speed dial of the unlock code only. You dont need to put in the ext number as you're already on the call with the ext.

Thanks for the prompt response.. That is what I thought, but on the Fanvil phones, it goes to a "transfer' state. i'll test it out again.. Thanks!

It shouldnt do. I've got a fanvil door phone with Fanvil X5 and X6 with custom speed dials and it works perfect. Make sure you've got the type as custom speed dial and not anything else. Pressing the key will literally just send the DTMF tones as if you were pressing the buttons yourself.
