We have at least one use who is not seeing new voicemails on their web client. The system is configured to email them a notification with the transcription and they get this but they do not see the VM on the webclient's voicemail tab.

Any ideas?

This was previously resolved by restating the serer but it recurred.

This time I backed up the folder with the VMs here:-

C:\ProgramData\3CX\Instance1\Data\Ivr\Voicemail\Extensions\XXX

And then deleted it, left a test VM (which worked in the webclient) and then copied back all the VMs, which then all appeared in the webclient.

I wonder if the file system notifications stop working for some reason.

It's on Windows and chkdsk didn't return any issues. I think if it happens again I'll reinstall the OS and restore from backup unless anyone has any other ideas.

OK, I fixed this.

In the 3CXIVR.log there was something like the following from when I copied back in the VM files.

07/08/2020 14:18:30.353 [0000XXX] Failed to parse C:/ProgramData/3CX/Instance1/Data/Ivr/Voicemail/Extensions/XXX/vmail_XXXXXXXXXXX_XXX_XXXXXXXXXXXXXX.xml: Error document empty.

Sure enough one of the xml files from February had a 0KB xml file, I deleted both the xml and the wav file amd the issue was resolved. So if you get this issue, watch out for that.
