Hi all,

I have a client with 3cx15.5. The issue we're experiencing is if a calls rings, 3cx tries to route it to voicemail. There's 30 seconds of silence, then a voice that says "goodbye" before the call disconnects. The call log I've copied is here.

09/18/2018 12:07:20 PM JOE SCHMITZ (239#######) RG Default Providence Ring Group (800) Not Answered

I've looked into this and boiled it down to two possibilities.

1.) Inbound rules or the digital receptionist isn't configured properly. I looked at the groups and they all appeared valid.

2.) The greeting is playing but the wav file format is invalid. As I was typing this I discovered the sampling frequency was 44.1, not 8 as stated on the page.

I may have just answered my own question, but could it be something else I'm missing?

I'm new to setting up 3cx so thank you ahead of time for the patience.

Record a new greeting from the handset to confirm the frequency idea.
If the greeting from the handset recording works - then voila.

I'm going with number 2

I think I answered my own question. The wav file originally uploaded by the contractor was 44.1khz stereo. I converted it to the correct format and now hearing the In Office message.

Now with that I should hear the Out of Office message after I make a test call later tonight.
