Hi all,

When caller is sent to voicemail, is it possible to let him press star (*) to continue wait in "Ring group" instead of transfering him to "Operator"?

To explain here's what is actually happening in our 3CX today:

1. caller calls
2. caller is redirected to "Ring group"
3. call is not answered and caller is redirected to a voicemail
4. caller press *
5. caller is redirected to the operator (which we do not have)

I would like it to be like this:

1. caller calls
2. caller is redirected to "Ring group"
3. call is not answered and caller is redirected to a voicemail
4. caller press *
5. caller is redirected to the "Ring group" again (is acutally redirected to step 2.)

Is that possible in 3CX?

Thanks!
Mojo

Why not just extend the ring group indefinately?

Alternatively set up a digital assistant and do it this way

1. caller calls
2. caller redirected to ring group
3. call is not answered, caller is redirected to digital assistant
4. digital assistant says press 1 to continue to hold, 2 to leave a voice mail.

Indefinately is not good - then customors will hang up with having the posibility to leave us a message.

You alternate solutions is perfect - why da hell didn't I think of it?? 8)

Is it possible to remove the option of pressing * in the voicemail?

Thanks for your help!!

Not sure if you can remove the star. But have you set your operator extension in the General Settings?

It is free text field so not sure if you can use ring group extensions but you can try. Change it from the default (100, 1000 etc) to the ring group or the digital assistant and test it.
