Version 18.0 Update 2, web hosted with local SBC

Hi, we have our 1st client that's requested their voicemails be sent to their email as .wav files. The underlying "send" of the VM seems to work fine, but the actual file is very strange. There's about 30 seconds of quiet, then the voicemail, then a few prompts "Press one..." etc.. then, 30 more seconds of space, and the voicemail repeats, etc... after a couple of minutes, the file just cuts off.

Has anyone seen this type of behavior? I don't even know where to begin to make adjustments to help the situation. Thanks!

Is this with all voicemails ?

Does it only affects one extension or more extensions ?

At the moment, it seems to be a very infrequent occurrence. Only 1 of 3 VM users have reported it. We're wondering if somehow the user made a mistake. :-)

I have to say this sounds awfully as if a voicemail got transferred into another voicemail.

Can you try the following:

1. Check when the voicemail was created.
2. Run a Call Report and check that time.
3. Do you happen to see a VMAIL call to the extensions VMAIL box?

Great suggestion, I'll check this. It's certainly possible that's what's going on. I don't know HOW someone would damage a forwarded voicemail, but users will find a way to do anything. :)
