Hi,
Just noting that the Google transcription instructions are out of date as Google Cloud has changed a lot of the steps. I was following the steps in the manual pages after upgrading to v20
https://www.3cx.com/docs/manual/google-speech-api-v2/

I got it working, but it took a while due to changes in navigation and some extra steps are required as Google have also changed the default security policies so you can't download a JSON key without disabling a policy beforehand.

Looking at the v20 Update 2, and the following manual page
https://www.3cx.com/docs/manual/openai-transcription/#h.ijn5vy3dqdyi

It looks like OpenAI will be an option or replace the Google transcription option

I hope this helps someone and prompts 3CX to update the the Google Speech API manual page, as this is some of my customers favourite feature.

Regards,
Malcolm

What steps did you have to take?

I had to follow this one: https://stackoverflow.com/questions...th-python-permission-denied/77800268#77800268

Add the speech API to the storage service-account via the CLI, then it worked.. but, it was not pleasant with the gcloud cli commands being, quite terse and .. verbose, at the same time.

If it gives you: " Policy members must be of the form "<type>:<value>", that means you missed the serviceAccount: prefix to the service-account's "email" address identifier.

So, bit of fun, but it does work in the end.

I followed the 3CX guide, in general but with several google searches and false starts, too many to mention/go into. Which is why I called for an update to the 3CX guide.
