I am getting some weird issues with 3CX and voip.ms

I setup a new 3CX system as I am decommissioning my freepbx systems.

My test system and line worked fine. so I created the new extensions and moved the sip trunks to the 3CX machine. I am now getting a hit and miss on outbound calls. It seems like the Outbound parameters in the voip.ms template is wrong. I had to put in a custom value for the Contact: User Part and From:User Part, to get the outbound call to start working.

We have multiple sub-accounts and multiple DID's going to the sub-accounts.

Also, if I put in the extension "Name" <number>, which I used to have in FreePBX, it fails the call.

According to voip.ms "Name" <number> is valid to send them. it seems to be another issue in the Outbound Parameters.

Yes,
When you choose the template, Canada -> voip.ms the Outbound paramaters are set to

From:User Part "OriginatorCallerID" Original Caller number will be sent

I had to change it to:

From: User Part "AuthID" Authenticaion

for this to consistently be able to call out.

What I would like to get working, is the outbound caller id.
On viop.ms sub-account properties, I have the option to send a callerid string. but if I change the callerid on the extension to anything with text, ie "Name" <phonenum> the outbound call fails.

I think that this is From:Display Name, but I'm not sure

You are probably better off talking to VOIP.ms support since ultimately they know what is required and they should be able to tell you to configure things. We can't send anything but digits here in the US.

Yes,
I might have figured it out (with the assistance of Voip.MS)

Remote Party ID - Calling Party : Display Name "OurboundCallerId" from extension settings
Remote Party ID - Calling Party : User Part "CallerNum"

only put a name in the extension's outbound caller id.

I am able to call out with this config. I am going to test it later to see if the name is correct. (can't check on my cell phone)
