We have to change the FQDN

Our customer like to change the FQDN of the 3CX V20 PBX. In the past we (V18) we could make a backup without the FQDN but this is not possible in V20.
Is their work around (other than building up from scratch) to change the FQDN in the backup file?

Hi, you can get a backup via command line as mentioned in this guide, just do not include the license key and fqdn information in the process https://www.3cx.com/docs/backup-restore-command-line/

Also note, that the FQDN is only set during the installation process, so you have to delete the current machine, release the FQDN from the user portal with the registered email, then get a new config file where you set the new fqdn, install the pbx from scratch with that file and once done, you can put the backup in the pbx and click on the restore button.
