we need H264 Support !!

i know you keep saying you have to pay royalty fee but at least offer 2 version of iso app free and Paid which include this H264 support !!!

A common use case is a doorbell with a camera;
which only supports H264;

There are 3rd party SIP clients which support it; but as long as there is a direct connectivity;
if the client is on the internet (trough the 3CX port 5090 tunnel) then it doesn't work.

An extra plugin (or another version of the 3CX client including the codec) which should be bought to cover the royalty fee could be a compromise; people actually needing it could pay the extra cost for the extra feature, while the majority of users won't be harmed.

The paid licensing is not an excuse anymore to not have it.

That being said, if devices can upgrade to AV1, then we could all use that instead (high quality at low bitrate, but SIP doesn't support that codec.)

@ConceptsWeb you are wrong and I have mentioned this before. It's not the source code - that's peanuts , it's the royalty fee for h264 and it's hefty and for all clients. You can answer h264 calls from Chrome for intercom. Or use another softphone by all means. I am closing this thread.
