I have a question: Does the web login user's password expire? If the user never logs in because they use a phone or desktop app, does the password expire?

Hi @Alle CTEC when you create a user extension and receives a welcome email, he has to set the password for the webclient, this link will expire after X period of time, if these users did not set it, then by clicking the reset password, it will trigger the welcome email to change web client password and it will also reset the extension credentials including the sip password.

Ok, this is clear to me. If the user sets a password and then doesn't log in to the web interface for 6 months, will the password they set remain valid?

yes, if they set the password, but then never used it, it will remain the same.

If you only want to reset the web client login password without resetting it, simply click Recover Password and enter the email address populated in the correct user field. Is it possible to change the user's web password from the administration interface?

No, you have to do it via the reset password option and it will also reset all the extension credentials such as the sip password, etc.

To change a web client password without changing extension credentials, instruct the user to use the Recover Password option from the login screen. No admin intervention is required unless credentials are forgotten.
