In 15.5 sp1 or sp2 beta, notifications settings per browser are not honored on a Mac, tested on all OS versions from 10.10 to 10.13. In Firefox/Chrome/Safari, if you set the notifications to be "alerts" instead of "banners", the notifications are not supposed to disappear, but they do. Our company wants to rely on the chat feature, and if someone leaves their desk, they need a persistent notification that there is a chat waiting for them.
