Web client "waiting for network"

We have an issue with users (succesfully) authenticating with the webclient and being served a message "waiting for network".
This is with fully patched Win10 on LAN, no antivirus, MS Edge, Chrome or Firefox. Access to the admin console on the very same machine works just fine.
Any idea ?

Can you provide more information?

Do all devices say 'waiting for network' indefinitely or only a few device(s), if so how many out of how many users total?

Are you connecting using the local IP or the FQDN?
