If I make a call between extensions from one WebClient to another WebClient it works absolutely fine.

If I make a call from my Snom phone or iOS app (and presumably other non-WebClient clients) it fails, and vice versa. For example, if I try to take the call to the WebClient running on my Windows 10 PC from the Snom handset, when clicking the green answer button on the WebClient it just keeps on ringing and displays the following error in the WebClient app window:

Failed to execute 'setRemoteDescription' on 'RTCPeerConnection': Failed to set remote offer sdp: Failed to set remote audio description send parameters.

Here's how it looks on the WebClient app:

If try and make calls between non-WebClient apps, such as Snom -> iOS or iOS -> Snom, it also works absolutely fine. So for some reason only communications between the native and web based apps are failing.

Any ideas anyone? Incidentally, this was all working absolutely perfectly for days until the early hours of this morning. The only things I can think have changed since since last working are the introduction of the Snom handset (still at testing stage and it's the first one to be introduced) and I downloaded some updates for SIP trunk providers that aren't even in use.

Many thanks all :)

Hi @lucasco

First let's collect some info. Please try to answer all the following as accurate as possible so we can understand the entire environment.

- PBX Version (ie 16.0.5.612)
- Snom Model and firmware version
- 3CX Plugin Version (ie. 3.0.1.70)
- Browser name and version (ie Chrome 83.0.4103.61)

- PBX Location (Local/Cloud)
- Snom Location (Local/STUN/SBC)
- Webclient's PC Location (Local/Remote)
- Webclient's PC connectivity (direct connetion from home / Local connection same as PBX / using a VPN from another location)

- Clear steps to replicate ie.
  1. Log in webclient
  2. Select Snom from drop-down menu as active device
  3. Open Chrome Extension
  4. Call my extension from iOS or other deskphone
  5. See incoming call in Chrome Extension
  6. Click Green to answer
  7. Screenshot the result

Hi John,

Thanks for replying. Apologies, as it was the best part of a month ago I asked this question, and until now no-one had answered, I forgot I'd actually posted it. I managed to sort the problem myself. I can't 100% remember what I did, but I think the issue might have been because 3CX was trying to force an audio codec that wasn't supported by some clients / devices. But I've carried out lots of configuration changes in the last few weeks so can't totally recall what I did. I think the one Snom phone I had running at the time I factory reset and reprovisioned from scratch too.

Thanks for trying to help, but at the moment all is good :-)
