Good morning,

I am getting some odd issues today with scheduled webinars.

We had an instant where a user clicked on his scheduled webinar to initiate hosting, gets to the "Start" screen but is then told "Missing Web Parameters"

He instantly created a new one to re-invite the 72 attendees and was told again that "Missing Web Parameters" or "There is a problem with the web meeting"

He has had no issues with previous ones this month. We tried a several different computers / different internet connections but the issue stands.

I have created (as an admin) a webinar and am able to start this fine, however, if I log in as the user I get the same issue. Nothing on this user's account has changed, the system has not been updated in anyway since his last webinar.

Is anyone else having this issue?! (I'm pulling my hair out as we have more planned)

Hi there,

We pushed some changes to our Video Conferencing platform yesterday to detect and block possibly malicious attempts towards the platform where users would try to login to meetings using very long names.

It seems that some of your users are being caught by this. We're temporarily deploying a version without this restriction so you can continue with normal operations.

Thanks for the update.

This is so odd!!

We do have some people with long names but for the ease of our company we have their job titles (In brackets) after their last name to help people on the system (This isn't exclusive to us, I know other companies do the same)

HOWEVER, we have just identified that those affected the most are using "Sky" internet which appears to be blocking something to do with connecting to Web meetings (Ports by the looks of it) and it's across the board, so you might get more issues coming your way due to this!

Hi,

In regards to the name issue, by the end of the day we'll have updated our service with the non-restrictive version until we can figure out a non restrictive fix.

In regards to your second comment, uur service just uses port 443, we have no special restrictions when it comes to connecting. This sounds like an issue either with your local internet infrastructure or Sky itself. Could you PM me your public IP? We can perform some checks on our side.

Thanks for the info,

I know the Sky issue isn't a problem with your system (Sky are a nightmare for lots of reasons on our systems)

PM'd you the details incase you want to confirm
