Hello,

When I log in with Firefox in the web meeting , after 5 sec I have the following error:
(With Chrome everything works fine)
3cx is locally installed.
I use proxy for both Chrome and Firefox.
Have checked Firewall and 3cx.net is allowed from any possible check.

Any help will be appreciated!

Hi Alkiviadis,

The Webmeeting is based on HTTPS. If you are proxying the connection it will fail.

Try connecting to the meeting URL from an outside connection that does not pass through a proxy, you should be successful

Hi there, this is a feature of Firefox related to it's media autoplay policy. If you click once inside the browser window to give the WebMeeting UI focus, this should fix this issue.

When this may happen on Firefox?
  1. Pressing the 'Login' button to enter a meeting and then quickly switching to another tab or application.
  2. Generally not giving the WebMeeting window focus when entering/logging in.
Unfortunately there's nothing we can do about this since it's Firefox's way of doing things. If this is a big problem for you, i can only suggest using Chrome, Edge w Chromium or Opera.

Hello,

Thank to both of you for the answers!
So to recap:
  1. Chrome works with proxy, everything is ok
  2. Even if firefox is in the foreground I still have the same issue (even if i click inside the webmeeting for UI focus).
After I have the "Reconnecting Media..." error, Firefox asks for camera and microphone permissions every 5 sec. There is no option to "Remember this option" or "Permanently allow camera and microphone".
The same problem exists in other Desktops running Firefox also.

Updating the thread with my workaround:
Manual proxy configuration does not work with Firefox.
By using "Use system proxy settings" the problem was solved.
(In the Internet explorer I had the same manual proxy settings as in Firefox).
I remember that before the last updates in 3CX everything worked ok in Firefox.
Has 3cx implimented any changes that involved proxy configurations in firefox?
