Hello All,

I am having an issue with the webmeeting. I can set one up and send out the invites without issue, and I downloaded the app on my phone and connected (phone is on LTE not on internal WiFi) successfully. But when trying to connect to the meeting on the internal network I get "connection to the server failed". I am thinking its a DNS issue but I'm not sure as we have an internal DNS server, I have "companyname-us-tx.3cx.net" pointed to 151.80.125.99, not sure if there is any other host names I am missing. I tried attaching a pcap but the forum won't let me, in the capture I am noticing RST's but i don't have anything blocked on my computer and i checked our firewall, it is not blocking anything either. Any ideas anyone?

Check the webmeeting MCU - Settings -> Conference Settings -> Video

Make sure port 443 is not blocked

Note : webmeetings are hosted on 3CX servers and not your 3CX machine

Look on the dashboard - right hand column - for server info.

Webmeeting FQDN and MCU.

Thank you for the reply Saqqara

Settings are set to the closest server to us (Kansas). Preferred theme is set to white, email is standard.

Port 443 is not blocked, but it is currently being redirected to our Exchange server, however this shouldn't make a different since its not hosted on on our server.

I am aware its not hosted on our server, on our DNS server (Server 2008) I have us003-kan.3cx.net pointed to 67.197.144.178, as pointed out in the original post I also have another A record setup, pointing to 151.80.125.91.

Thank you for the reply craigreilly

I have both of those added to the zone file on our DNS server. I did a ping from our 3CX server (Debian VM setup on ESXI) and they resolve to the correct addresses.

Why are the 3cx run media servers in there at all?
I understand the need for your FQDN for the PBX server itself...

actually.....thats a good point lol. I had put them in there when i first setting up the server (was late i think so probably didn't think about it just added it) but i went back and looked and there is no local addresses in there so there is indeed no reason to have it there. I removed the zone and it started working. Thanks!
