I received the following question from one of our users;
Since one of the last updates* I am having severe problems with the 3CX web application for web meetings. I'm using the normal 3CX webclient in the latest version of Chrome on a Mac running OSX 10.13.6 with 16gb ram, 2.9 ghz dual core i5 and a retina display (2560x1600x24bit).
The problem I encounter is that when videoconferencing with more then 1 person and 1 of the persons is sharing a screen. My computer then starts to get hot, the fan starts to blow and after a while the videochannels of the other persons start to flicker green. After a while the videochannels freeze and I cannot control my complete mac anymore. The only resolution then is to do a hard restart of the entire computer. This is highly unusual for a mac.
I think the problem could be in the fact that I have a Highresolution retine display. When I'm looking at the shared screen with a magnifier glass, I can read the smallest letters in the presented excel-sheet. I think it is streaming at the maximum resolution which causes the computer to crash.
Is there a solution for this problem?
* I mean the update where the functions of the separate videochannels changed. In the old version I could change the size and the way the cutout of the videochannel filled the available space. In the new version the mute button is at the bottom of the videochannel with a round circle around the mic.
