I'd like to ask an advanced Admin/Developer HOW 3cx uses the Default Parameters for separate scenarios in whch a Webconference would be created. This will help us answer specific questions around usability AND 3cx management (v16)

When/How is WEBRTC MAXVIDEO BANDWIDTH used?
If we change it via Parameters must we reboot/restart service?
Default means System Default/Global default NOT .... The end user can change it after meeting created... We don't need the overhead of teaching every participant to change their individual stream properties. that's what DEFAULTs are for.
How does Adaptive Stability work in relation to a fore mentioned parameter?

I understand WEBRTC technology in general however, can't find good documentation on how 3cx utilizes these parameters.

GOAL: Participant NEVER touch their individual stream settings. We manage the defaults (For EVERY Scenario, Click2Meet, Impromptu Web conference, scheduled Web meeting etc..) which should be lower and work 90 percent of the time.

I would very much appreciate any knowledge on this subject.
Thank you community!

Hi,

Things will be more clear once we release our on-premises MCU which will allow you much more control. For the time being, you cannot force the user - they can still change the settings if they want, and the Webmeeting API will still reduce their bandwidth if their connection cannot handle it.
