Hi All,

As above, the welcome email is not sending. The SMTP test returns the following:

1646009161105.png

I do not manage the network there however i've been assured that this port is open.

Additional information:

Version: 18.0 Update 2 (Build 315)
Operating System: Windows 10 Pro
Location: on premises
Firewall check: All green (except SIP ALG - this one will be removed soon but shouldn't affect this I'd have thought?)
This feature was previously working but has since stopped.

I'm not the only one with admin access to the system. Is there a setting that might've been changed or something I've missed?

Thanks

Dan

The error message suggests port 2528 is blocked outbound. You need to get the firewall setup checked

Hi @DPCFBS,

Though it looks like your hands are tied since you don't manage the system, what you could do is a verbose packet capture on the PBX and test the SMTP server again and check if the outbound traffic on port 2528 is allowed.

Hi All,

Thanks for your replies.

I did a packet capture and found that the SMTP test was leaving the PBX and appeared to be reaching the router so that end was working. I also created a firewall rule permitting that traffic as a just in case although no rule was blocking it. In the packet capture, I also noticed that there were 3 (from memory) resend packets which I think was due to no response. I showed this to the local IT manager and they were able to get it working. I suspect that corporate IT had blocked the traffic.

Thanks all for your help!

Dan
