Hi all!

as titled.

Thanks for any kind of help!

Hello!

Skype delivery only calls.

3CX provides a complete solution of PBX, with specific features for business, as IVR, Recording Calls, Queues.

Regards.

While they are both, technically, Voice Over Internet, they each adhere to a different set of standards. While 3CX uses Session Initiation Protocol (SIP), an open standard, Skype uses a proprietary protocol which it hasn't voluntarily shared.

Apples and Oranges, but in brief;

Skype is a VoIP provider, something like Vonage, you can make and receive Skype calls on 3CX.
(Not my preference)
3CX is a SIP based PBX Server that runs on Windows, it replaces legacy PBX phone systems like Nortel, older Avaya, Lucent, Merlin, Toshiba, Panasonic, etc. and it competes with products such as Asterisk and it's variants (Linux based), Avaya's IP products, Cisco's UC solutions, etc.
Now if you were referring to the 3CX Phone, it is a software based SIP phone, an extension on the 3CX PBX Server or as a SIP phone connected to another SIP server or SIP service provider.

Hope there is now enough information on this thread to get you started.
