when I'm put on hold my MOH plays

I just noticed this somewhat recently and it has happened a couple of times. One of the businesses I call on a pretty regular basis transfers me to one of their customer service queues. I've noticed that before I get transferred it seems like I'm on hold briefly and it plays my systems music on hold instead of theirs. Obviously, there's no problem but I just found that kind of strange and I wonder why that happens. Has anyone else experienced this?
