We have recently installed 3cx onto one of our customers and i am having trouble trying to figure out why when users make a internal call that they are unable to see the users names only when aking internal calls, is there a setting that need to be changed or does should it pull the information from the client.

Need more info on your setup.

Is the 3CX server local to the users, or hosted in the cloud.

How have you provisioned the phones ?

What phones are you using - make and model , 3CX application or 3CX webclient

Can the device see the 3CX company phone book ?

The 3cx server is based in a Azure Vm

All the phones have been provisioned.

Yealink SIP-T21P_E2 all the phones work as they sshould its just this one function that does not.

Thank you.

As @Saqqara mentioned can it see the company phonebook? This is where is gets the information for "who you are calling" internally - or even externally if the number is in the phonebook.

how would you confirm if the user can see the phonebook? if they cannot then what settings needs to be changed.

Go into the phone and find the phonebook button.
I should be provisioned automatically if it is a supported handset.

Okay it looks like the version is 52.83.0.20 which says is not supported could that be why it is not pulling of the phone book entries.

Firmware should not make any difference

would i need to disable the trusted certificates for each and every phone.

If you upgrade your phones to the supported firmware there is no need to turn anything off. Just make sure you are using the default templates to provision the devices and the phonebook should also download to the device.
