I've been asked to investigate 3CX by a potential client. I have a Yealink T46G configured and the next step is to link SIP credentials. I have reached out to about 10 providers (9 from the supported list) and none have a bare bones service, i.e. for testing purposes. You either have to purchase in volume, meet certain usage criteria, and several other pricing schemes.

Is anyone aware of a SIP provider that will allow me to make incoming and outgoing calls with 3CX that is a simple monthly fee or per call fee? There will not be any heavy use. I've been tasked with setting up 3CX on my own, but this part of the setup has been a road block. What am I missing? Thank you in advance for any guidance you can provide.

I have tested voipinnovations for about 3 years now, prepaid plan is nice, just buy a did for $1.50 a month and pay as you go, I don't know what the min prepay amount is I am guessing $100.00

best of luck.

I'll throw in for Flowroute. They even give a small test credit.

Thanks for these resources. I will dig into them!

I went with flowroute. DIDs are 50 cents (current promo, otherwise $1.25/month), you are required to load account with $40 minimum. Inbound and outbound calls are pennies. No cancellation fees or contracts. Customer service was great!

You can see the full list of tested and supported providers here: https://www.3cx.com/partners/sip-trunks/
All of them have been tested and their templates are maintained by 3CX.
Then it comes down to what feature set you need and personal preference.

Any supported provider is fine but as the guys have mentioned above those with free credit test accounts would suit you best.

We use Gamma in the UK who don't offer this service however for U.S and Australia based customers we use Twilio - who personally I find a really good provider simply because I find their platform very user friendly and offers very detailed call logs and the ability to run your own PCAP tracing (which I find invaluable for troubleshooting).
