Hi,

Like Mark in this thread (https://www.3cx.com/community/threads/re-enable-backup-success-messages.86869/#post-410128) I've recently been puzzling over why our 3CX "backup successful" emails stopped arriving.

It seems as it this is a "feature" within v18, but at least there is an option to turn them back on.

Except there doesn't seem to be this option within v18 hosted!

Any ideas why this isn't here / how to re-enable it for hosted?

Thanks,

GML.

Hi @GML

At 3CX Hosted we send a notification email when there is something wrong and backup fails. The reason we did that is all admins receive multiple emails every day and most are ignored. We have decided that there is no need to send emails for successful backups on PBXs that are Hosted by 3CX and flood each admin 's inbox.

Hi Dimitris,

Thanks for your response.

I appreciate what you are saying, and my understanding is that this is a default setting change from v16 to v18 - now by default people won't receive these success emails, but there's an option to switch them back on for those that do need the emails.

Our system - for example - excepts these emails to arrive, and created a support job for us when they don't arrive!

Being that the option is there in v18, would it not make sense to expose that option and let people decide for themselves whether they want to receive the emails or not?

But thanks for confirming at least that this has been disabled inside the hosted 3CX.

Thanks,

GML.

Hi @GML

Unfortunately, this is something we cannot change as it goes along with the features of the 3CX Hosted system.
Feel free though to suggest it in the ideas section of the forum as a future feature.
