Hi,

we have just gone live with 3cx and have a bit of a weird problem. We have a user who has a desk phone in the main office and also works at a remote site. When the user initiates a call from the mobile app, users who sit next to his deskphone at the other office can hear the conversation through the desk phone. We are a bit dumbfounded and don't know where to look! If anyone has any ideas what could cause this please help!

thanks,

Paul

What is the setup of 3CX

3CX server is is local to the machines, or hosted in the cloud

How are the deskphones provisioned - lan , stun or SBC ?

Hi @OHgroup

Can you replicate this yourself? When you dial a number from the Android app, do you see the deskphone dialing out? How exactly does this happen?

Main site where deskphones are located are provisioned on the same LAN no SBC or STun
Site where the user is located, is using the mobile app on wireless. However, the 3cx server is routable over the site to site VPN in place

When I Use my mobile app and call a number my deskphone doesn't do anything. My colleague who has this issue should be set up the same way. I am going to take his phone and plug it in then reprovision my mobile app as him to do some testing....

Good idea, but best let them show you how they did it in the first place because this sounds like there are details missing from this story.

sure but a bit difficult to do as the user is in Norwich and I am in Exeter! :)

I've never seen that. I just tried it now but anyway how I try to catch the call on phone and listen w/ deskphone, I just get nothing on deskphone.

What kind ofphones are you using ?

But as @JohnS_3CX , better try to replicate it first.

If it happened only once, maybe yeah x)

true, it has actually happened more than once. I will have a look at it today and post back when I find out what has happened.
