I am all the sudden (possible since installing the last SP6) having multiple networking issue with our 3cx.

Our server resides (in a data cabinet) on LAN1 (172.16.210.0/24) whereas our office (with the users) is on LAN2 (192.168.66.0/24). Both are interconnected via a LAN link through a routers (Mikrotik) and both have access to the public internet.

For the past 18 months everything worked fine and we havent changed anything in our network on 3cx setup, but for some reason we are seing major issues:

  1. phone are not anymore communicating with the PABX - I see error message like
RPS request for Yealink T46S IP Phone of *** (152) NOT delivered. You will need to configure the phone manually by copying and pasting the provisioning link https://***.3cx.eu:5001/provisioning/o1ugy5vpi72zk/ in the phone web interface. Error Message:

504 Gateway Time-out

504 Gateway Time-out

nginx

  2. no sound is passed to the phones (even internal calls) - No obvious error in log

  3. phones, despite being explicitly provisioned via the LAN interface, are actually connecting via the the local WAN address to the PABX

I used to have the LAN IP here:

    3froS1F.jpg

(if I turn off WAN access for the extension it will keep - and obviously fail - to connect to the PABX)

Any idea what could create this and where to search ? At the moment I am somewhat at loss in understanding this issue.

Hmmm ok so first of all, nothing breaks if nothing changed so clearly something changed :).

First question. Is your license/maintenance still valid?

Thanks for the audio ports pointer - that might be related indeed. Will look into it.
The license / maintenance is kosher.
What's wrong with 172.16.210.0/24 ? This is a non routable address range as far as I know ?

Sorry, my bad :oops::(

As I said, sorry, my fault.

No worries @complex1, all 3 of those posts happened at the same time.

The fact that the PBX is trying to send an RPS request would suggest that the phones are provisioned using STUN and are not provisioned using the local provisioning link as shown in the screenshot. In no other scenario will the PBX try to send an RPS request.Clear your browsers cache and check the provisioning link again for the affected extensions. Also make sure that you are using a supported browser. The audio ports increase is a good place to start troubleshooting the audio issues.

thanks for the suggestions
I opened further ports on the PABX and reprovisioned all phones from scratch. All seems well now

Glad to see the issue has been resolved.
