Why is post editing deletion time so short here ?

I'd like to tidy up the thread title and first post information to reflect my mistake.

Xenforo can have post history information stored so if you want to revert edited posts you can.

Many people might have sober second thoughts and edit dumb things they say. Correcting dumbness is a good thing.

Consider allowing indefinite post editing, but at a minimum 2 days.

Seems like the major upgrade was Microsoft's ability to extract valuable information about you, not any great improvements.

I like Windows 7 but am a Windows 2000 person at heart.

I'm talking about being able to edit my post from 8 hours ago (the first post in this thread).

Its been a while since I've seen such a short post editing window.

Consider indefinite post editing as a customer friendly feature. Seems a bit overbearing to have such a short post editing window.

What if I wanted to create good content about a specific topic over time ? Being about to add content to the first post is essential.

You could add a Xenforo usergroup that people with over 50 posts are allowed to edit their posts indefinitely or for a week, or whatever. The usergroup promotion would be automatic.

How about everyone with the ability to edit posts for a week ?

Phrased another way, what are the great positive impacts of having such a short editing window ?

I like Windows 7 but am a Windows 2000 person at heart.

Windows 8 was great when coming from Vista - But, I did enjoy 7. I hate the start menu on Windows 8 and 8.1, the fact it takes up the whole screen it's awful. And 8 and 8.1 mainstream support ended years ago.

I do miss Win 98 - I had changed my cursor icon to a dinosaur instead of the egg timer. Whenever I was waiting for my web page to load on my 56k modem the dinosaur would start walking and I'd move it along a window >_<

My first modem was 300 baud. The modem would stop working if my sister picked up another phone in the house.

Nice time to relax.
We should make a Windows program to slow web page loading down so people could relax more. I think the dinasour cursor with some gentle amazon forest sounds will be the kicker. Everyone's blood pressure will be better.
