hello. just to confirm the windows app install found by logging into the webclient, apps then downloading "windows app", is this safe to use?

Yes this is fine to use, there are issues with the latest versions of the desktop or with the 3CX app for Windows (legacy app).

Prefer the desktop app though, as the 3cx app for Windows is longer receiving development.
