I've recently taken over the administration of our 3CX system and am in need of some assistance. I have a single user who uses the windows client and is getting his IP blacklisted. The entry in the log is the following - The IP (His workstation IP) has been blacklisted for 86400 sec. (Expires at: 2021-05-18 20:34:00). Reason: 3CX Clients / Softphones blocked - 3CX API Component. Each time this has happened it is at a time where he is not at his machine and has gone home for the day. Is there something I can do to find more info on this or something else I should be looking at?

So far I've had him re-import the config file and reinstall the client.

Thanks,

-D

Hi @derekhunt,

Would it be possible that the PC has 2 IPs, such that maybe you have Ethernet and WiFi connected at the same time or perhaps the network adapter has 2 IPs?

Did you change the default values in the "Anti-Hacking" tab in Security?

Yes the user does have a laptop. Most all of our users do. Should have I have him disable the wifi while on the wire to see if that helps?

I don't think we've changed any of the anti-hacking seting

@derekhunt,

I'd suggest giving the disabling WiFi a bash and see if it happens again. If it happens and you've confirmed that there is only 1 IP on the machine, update me here and we'll investigate further.

Great, leave the anti-hacking settings as default.
