Windows Desktop APP cannot compose external SMS

Is there a way to compose an SMS chat to a mobile that did not initiate an incoming conversation, I can reply to incoming chats no problems, I can initiate an SMS from the windows browser client to an external mobile, just not from the APP, there does not seem to be anywhere to enter the number to initiate the chat..

I am using the latest PWA and cannot initiate any conversation outside of the list of users in 3CX. I cannot SMS anyone in my personal Outlook contacts; much less a 10 digit or E164 formatted number.

Oh, guess I should mention that SMS is fully functional with external users. The only problem is, the conversation cannot be initiated using 3CX. The external user must SMS into us first, before we can then begin to converse.

This indicates a misconfiguration in the SMS.
Is your number in E164 format?
