Good morning, I've recently received 25 new X4U and X3U phones for a small school to replace some very old unsupported Cisco ones on a self hosted 3CX system (these Fanvil phones were in the "Preferred IP Phones" list on the supported IP phones page, so I would assume are the most compatible handsets to use with 3CX).
Before rolling out I've noticed that the phones don't auto dial after typing a number in like the old ones, which I know will annoy some staff, so I'm holding back swapping handsets until I can find the best solution.
If I log into the web interface of the phone and look at the settings I can see there's a default timeout of 10 seconds, but reducing that to a small number could also upset slow dialers, so I'd prefer to not do that ideally. In the phone settings I can see you can configure dialplans, so I could resolve the issue that way with a few rules on each phone, but I'd like a solution that doesn't involve logging into and configuring every phone if I can help it, as this will make it more confusing for someone else to pick up from me one day if they plug extra handsets in that behave differently. I can't find any comparable settings I can define in 3CX for the phones (but I haven't done too many advanced things with 3CX, so might be looking in the wrong place!). I'm sure the settings must be there somewhere for the 'preferred' phones, so could some kind soul point me in the right direction?
Many thanks in advance for any replies!
