Hello,

I've got a new deployment using the X4U-V2 phones setup as SBC/Router Phones. They work and they provisioned no problem. They are on firmware 2.12.15.6 and 3CX is on 18 Update 6. The problem is that if the phones lose connectivity to 3CX - and the SBC disconnects - they do not reconnect! They do nothing! This seems like a giant problem for these phones. If I go into Tools > SBC Log it only shows logs from when the internet was down, showing that it disconnected. Then it doesn't do anything after the internet outage. I have several of these phone's setup this way and they all stayed disconnected for a full week. Today is the 16th they disconnected on the 9th and never reconnected. The only logs from the SBC are from the 9th.

I'm not sure if this is expected behavior? Seems like a big oversite if the Router Phones need 100% connectivity or your screwed. The only resolution we have is to remote into the customer site and manually reboot the phones from the web interface - or have the customer reboot the phones. This customer is in a remote location where internet is spotty so I'm having to setup a computer as an SBC until we can find a resolution.

Just looking for verification that this is expected behavior?

Hi,

It's not the expected behavior, in fact there is a known issue where if the phones cannot reach the PBX for about 5 mins, they give up trying to reconnect until you reboot them.

There is a planned fix in the next firmware release by Fanvil which addresses this specific issue so they can always reconnect no matter how long the internet outage was.
