Yealink Attended transfer

I have a few different yealink models and on the quick shortcut buttons I have speed-dials enabled to certain extension numbers. When a call comes in, if i press the transfer button on the phone it puts the caller on hold. then if i simply press the speed dial button it actually does a blind transfer. Whereas, instead of pressing the speed-dial, if i dial the number and press call then I am able to talk to the person I am transferring to first and if happy to transfer then hit the transfer button for a perfect attended transfer.

Does anyone know if there is a way to do this attended transfer but still utilizing the speed-dial buttons?

Try to use BLF and not speeddials if internal.


Or do you mean only external numbers.

Hi,

It comes down to learning your device and you've already figured it out most of the way.

If you want to transfer via BLF, you don't press the transfer button. You just hit the BLF and its done.

The behavior of the BLF is defined as @paulodagraca said above and you cannot have both. Choose what you prefer and do the other type manually by dialling.

Thanks for the replies. I do also have BLF and just tried the BLF as follows:

Dialled an internal extension > answered the call > press a BLF button which is linked to another internal extension and it did the same blind transfer where I got disconnected and wasn't able to talk to the BLF user first before transferring.

how did you change the keys to BLF, did you enter the Web interface of the phone and changed it there?

Hi,

Adding to Paulo, if you did the changes on the 3CX web panel, did the phone have a chance to pick up on the change? Change the name of something so you know any change has been pushed to the phone. - Or force a phone reprovisioning.

It's done through provisioning BLF but I confirmed it by going to web UI of the phone then > DSSKEY > Line Key > and the Type is set to BLF

The BLF function itself is working as a BLF because I can see when that user is busy or their phone is ringing

This is an option in your 3CX user that allows you to choose the behavior of the BLF buttons (no matter if the type is BLF or Speed Dial).

Ah in the IP phone section there is an option that says "Choose either Blind or Attended transfer method when DSS key is pressed" so I need to set that to attended. I missed that.
