Hi,
we want to achieve priorization on the Voice data on some older HP switches. Those can only define VLAN priorities based on ports (not on VLANs). Our standard configuration is the same port for the PC and the phone. We use the hub of the Yealink T46g.
So I want to define the priority Tag on the phone.
According the the Yealink manual http://www.yealink.com/Upload/UCOne/20141231/T4X/AdminGuide/Yealink_SIP-T4X_IP_Phones_Administrator_Guide_V73_40.pdf page 386, this can be done.
I wonder how the phone will handle the traffic of the PC. Will it still be untagged? The PC are running in an untagged VLAN, the VOICE VLAN is tagged. I want to configure the phones like:
network.vlan.internet_port_enable = 1
network.vlan.internet_port_priority = 0 (default)
network.vlan.internet_port_vid = VLAN ID for our VOIP VLAN
network.vlan.pc_port_enable = 0 (default)
This is our first steps into VLAN priorisation, any help and feedback is appreciated.
Best regards Frank
