Yealink SBC connects but extension wont register

Guys

i've got a Yealink T53 on 96.86.0.76 onsite.

This is one of many at site set up as SBC phone.

I've reset the phone, the phone sets up as an SBC but the extension doesnt register.



no blacklisted IPs, Ext is set up right.

Apologies if this sounds like a dumb question but did you set that phone to use that SBC, in that extension's settings? On at least one I set up it didn't do that on its own.

Yes but is it set to use itself as its SBC? In my case it was not, and other phones worked through it. IIRC it was not set to anything.

And yes it would seem that 3CX should default that, but…

When you set it up as a router phone it uses itself?

I suppose it could use a different SBC. In my case it presented like you describe…other phones work through it, it can’t make calls until I set an SBC on that extension/phone.

Yeah it’s going via another sbc now just annoying it isn’t working via itself.

Huh, so it breaks using itself? That is odd.

In my case IIRC it was set to no SBC.
