I have a customer with Yealink phones using the yealink electronic hookswitch adapter with plantronics wireless headsets. The customer is saying if they press the answer soft key on an inbound call the call gets disconnected, but if they press the button on the side of their headset to pickup the call it works fine.

Does anyone know of a situation were this could happen? I am going to try and have someone onsite in the morning to look at it but wanted to throw the issue out to the forum in case someone else has seen this.

Re: Yealink T.28/38 with EHS and plantronics headset questio

You did not mention the exact make and model of the Yealink phone or softphone and the problem you may be a simple compatibility issue.

http://www.TheHeadsetTeam.com is a Plantronics Authorized Partner (all we do as a company is Plantronics headsets) and we have developed a private database of all devises that we have successfully tested for compatibility. Plantronics also has a separate database.

We checked with the Plantronics database and the Yealink VP-2009 is compatible with some of the Plantronics wireless phones (cs, cs500 family and Savi Family) but does not show that this is compatible with an Electronic Hookswitch Adapter (EHS) but suggested the HL10, Straight Plug Part Number: 60961-35 http://www.theheadsetteam.com/plantronics-savi-hl10-lifter-straight-plug.html

On some phones an EHS or HL10 Handset Lifter allows for a user to press the Call Control Button (on the headset) for the Plantronics CS, CS500 family and Savi Family wireless headset systems for remote answer/end.

The EHS Adapter is an Adapter Cable which provides remote answer/end electronically and the EHS Adapter Cable is connected from the Phone to the Plantronics Headset System Base. The HL10 is a physical device that sits on the phone under the handset and actually lifts up the handset for remote answer/end. Both provide remote answer/end but do it in different manners.

User mentioned yealink t28 and 38.
These do use different firmwares so it is important to know if they are having problems with both phones or just 1. And what firmware version.
