Yealink T42S + EXP40

Im trying to provision a Yealink T42S with a EXP40. I know i need to modify the template but i have to admit im not sure which bit, there are various answers for other Yealink models but does anyone have a template for the T42S or can point me to the right section.

You don't need to modify the template, if you add the speed dials in from slot 16 onwards it should show on the EXP40.

tried that but to no avail, the EXP40 just has the loading screen on it.

I put an older firmware from Yealink on and the EXP40 loads up with no buttons set.It would appear the EXP40 only works with a 42S when its in Skype/teams config, not 3CX.
looking at changing the few phones that need the EXP40 to T46S's
