Hi,
really bashing our heads with this one. Trying to add a Yealink T42U as a router phone to v20 cloud PBX.
Have followed every guide, updated firmware to latest via 3cx website, add phone via simple steps and it doesnt show in the system as an SBC and thus cannot be selected for other phones to use.

What have we missed - this is meant to be so simple but it simply doesnt work for us. Other T53's have worked with no hassle at all.

Did you select "Connect directly" in the Add Phone popup?

Also, I believe you can only add a router phone as the primary phone for a user, not as secondary/other.

Yes added as direct.

I just tested and it does add it as router phone and shows up in SBCs.

What version of v20 are you on? Also, is there another phone on that same user?

thx for reaching out. Version 20.0 Update 5 (Build 551 Release) and it is th eonly phone added for the user and only one user registered in the accounts in the phone GUI

Interesting. It works well for us.

Try to clear your browser's cache and retry adding it.

If you enabled Multi Company, the SBC created for the phone is only accessible within that department.

Other departments won't be able to see it and assign their phones through it.

You should be able to see it and see what department it's limited to as the System Owner.

its very strange, any steps you can share that we may copy?

some headway - looked in AWS lightsail and no ports for 5001 or ip6 enablement. did that and now phone is showing as sbc. it hasnt picked up and ip so is showing RED

Thanks everyone for trying to assist. Found the issue in ligthsail, for some reason the v18 was runing without 5001 and 5062 open. in v20 it wouldnt allow the router phone to work. i replcicated the same ports from another instance and the phone immediately started showing as a sbc. all sorted.
