Hi all,

I was just reading the list of supported phones, and it mentiones the Yealink T4 series is 'supported'

I am looking into buying a Yealink T46G. However, the list of supported phones fails to mention that the T46G is compatible. It states that the T46S and the T46U are fine but doesn't say anything about the T46G.

I was wondering if the T46G is compatible.

Many Thanks

Ryan

Hi there,
Thanks for your reply.

Do you know how long the T46G will be supported within 3CX? Will it be being phased out any time soon?

Many Thanks

No one knows the answer to this question, not even 3cx at this time

The T46U, which replaces the T46G and T29G, is amazingly much faster - faster to boot up, faster to ring/answer, faster web UI, just overall much faster. A solid upgrade.

Yealink would be the folks that could maybe answer this question. The problem is Yealink isn't making newer firmware for those phones. So as technology continues to evolve, the phone capability is remaining the same. That's basically the definition of EOL when it comes to equipment. Usually the biggest issue is going to be the SSL support. If you only have a couple phones and you don't mind doing things like installing your own root certificates and things like that, or even manually configuring the phone, it will still work. But if you want a seamless experience, then you want a recommended or supported phone.
