Hello all,

This issue has been happening across a lot of our phones. We have some Yealink T46Ss in our office, and without fail, if you had a voicemail come in the previous night, the indicator/notification on the phone disappears by the morning.

When checking with the 3CX phone app, or dialing in to check the voicemails, the voicemail itself is still there, even in the 3CX app the voicemail still has the notification showing.

I've checked the auto-provision settings (doesn't seem to affect it), and rebooted the phone to check if that's something that may be affecting it, and neither of those cause the indicator to go away.

Any help or assistance would be greatly appreciated

Edit: Version 18 Update 3 (Build 461) server, Yealink firmware is up to date in 3CX

Hi,

Please read the below and provide us with some more information about your setup so we can better understand the conditions the phones are running in currently

Thanks! And is the server shut down, or rebooted at night by any chance?

Looks like it gets rebooted every night around 4am. Would that cause this behavior?

That's a possibility, there might be an issue with current Yealink firmware that can cause this (currently under investigation). It would require the phones to also be restarted to bring back the indicator.

Please avoid the server reboot for a night or two and let us know if the problem stopped repeating.

Yealink has confirmed there is an issue with this, and it should be corrected in the next firmware update planned for the end of May (in about a month from now).

The current solution is the following: If you reboot the 3CX system or restart the SIP server, you must then reboot your Yealink phones after the SIP server is back online. This is a temporary workaround until Yealink fixes the issue.

That did it, thanks so much for your help John!

Good to know they'll be fixing this issue, I've put it in my calendar lol

Hello,

Just FYI this has now been confirmed and fixed for the T5 family of phones (T53, T53C, T53W, T54W,T57W).

Same is expected later for the T4xU but at the moment we do not have an update regarding the T46S.
